Melanydros is a community rooted in nature, art, and meaningful connection. Away from the hectic pace of the big city, we are dedicated to rebuilding a village into a vibrant place shaped by culture, sharing, and collaboration.
We’re giving a roof for everybody to present their place and get a voice. Through cultural events, workshops, and artistic projects, we bring individuals together — with each other and with the land.
Neohori
A mountain village above the sea, kept alive by those who love it
High above Vliho Bay and Nidri, the stone houses of Neohori have watched over Lefkada for generations.
Founded by families seeking refuge from coastal pirate raids, the village lived quietly off the land — until, by the 1970s, most had left for the sea and its opportunities.
In the 1990s a new generation returned, restoring the old houses while protecting the village’s character. Today Neohori is where history, nature, and community still meet — in its narrow lanes, terracotta roofs, and unhurried pace of life.
